Sindy

It's hard to believe that Sindy turned 60 on September 6, 2023! Time flies!

But she hasn't always had it so easy, our dear Sindy. Some Sindy dolls have more scars than others. 

They have received unwanted haircuts, their hands and feet bitten off, or marked wit´h ink by malicious siblings.

Nevertheless, time heals all wounds. My Sindy has been given new hands, unfortunately, it has been done at the expense of some other poor Sindy who had a rough life.

On my page I will not tell Sindy's story about how it all started. That is a subject well covered by other enthusiasts. This page is a way for me to keep track of my progress of collecting all of Sindys´s outfits. It is also a great way of sharing my collection with others.

I'm a middle-aged woman who started to look back at fond memories of my childhood.

In  doing so, I found something that brougth back my feelings that I had as a girl. It happened when I was looking through an old box where I have kept memorabilia from my childhood. 

I found my beloved Sindy; the same doll which I had given my love to when I was a girl. Sweet and lovely Sindy ❤

I found some old clothes but not nearly as much as I hoped. So, I started to look for clothes online and it threw me back to 1977. 

That was where my project to recreate Sindy´s closet began to owerflow, just like my own...
